Qatar and Canada Strengthen Cooperation in Digital Transformation and AI Innovation

Minister of Communications and Information Technology, HE Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, met with Canada’s Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation, Evan Solomon, to explore new avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation in digital transformation and innovation.
The meeting highlighted the enduring partnership between Qatar and Canada, which has spanned over five decades. Both ministers commended the progress achieved in advancing mutual interests in technology and innovation sectors.
Discussions focused on collaboration in high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), and the exchange of expertise in digital infrastructure. The leaders also emphasized the importance of supporting digital policy development, tech entrepreneurship, and building national capacities in digital innovation.
Both sides agreed to finalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will establish a framework for future cooperation, reinforcing their shared commitment to advancing digital development and technological innovation.
