‘No Chance’ of Ukrainian Victory, Alipov States, Citing Nuclear Arms

Date:

There is “no chance” of a Ukrainian victory in the war, Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov stated, citing his country’s nuclear arms as the definitive factor.
This reality, he argued, makes the European belief in a Russian defeat “childish” and “unprofessional.”
He claimed that unlike the “belligerent” Europeans, President Donald Trump “understands” the “futility” of the conflict.
Alipov’s core point was Russia’s nuclear deterrent. “You can’t… take over us in this conflict simply because of our nuclear weapons,” he said.
He reinforced this by noting that Russia’s formal doctrine includes the “possibility” of nuclear use if the state faces an “existential threat.”
