INDIANAPOLIS – Carrier has announced a new initiative to mitigate the health impacts of wildfire smoke on indoor environments across North America. The program emphasizes the importance of maintaining clean indoor air to reduce exposure to harmful airborne particles known to aggravate respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
The company is advising homeowners, facility managers, and commercial property owners to implement enhanced protective strategies, including the installation of high-efficiency HVAC filters, sealing structures to limit infiltration, and using portable purifiers equipped with HEPA technology.
“Indoor air quality is a vital element of public health and safety, especially during wildfire events,” said Nick Arch, Vice President and General Manager of Residential Solutions at Carrier. “Our advanced solutions are designed to protect communities and promote well-being.”
To reinforce its commitment to public service, Carrier has recently donated $2.5 million in air purification systems to educational institutions and frontline workers in Los Angeles.
