Saudi Arabia Welcomes Recognition of Palestine by UK, Canada, Australia, and Portugal

Saudi Arabia on Sunday welcomed the decision by the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Portugal to officially recognize the State of Palestine. In a statement, the Kingdom said the move reflects the strong commitment of these countries to advancing the peace process and supporting a two-state solution in line with international resolutions.
The Kingdom expressed hope that this recognition would encourage further international acknowledgment of Palestinian statehood. Saudi Arabia emphasized that such steps are vital in realizing the aspirations of the Palestinian people to live peacefully and securely on their land.
Riyadh also underscored its expectation that the recognition will strengthen the Palestinian Authority’s ability to carry out its responsibilities, helping to foster long-term security, stability, and prosperity for the Palestinian people.
